E-coating

Electrocoating, or e-coat, is a dip-applied painting process that uses electrical current to deposit paint onto metal parts. During the process, parts are immersed in a coating bath and charged, which attracts the paint evenly to all metal surfaces. The parts are then oven-cured, forming a uniform, durable coating.

E-coat is most commonly used as a corrosion-resistant primer and is widely specified for automotive, agricultural, construction, and industrial components. Because the coating is electrically deposited, it provides complete coverage of exterior surfaces as well as recessed areas, sharp edges, and interior cavities.

Freedom Finishing operates a fully automated cathodic e-coat line capable of coating parts up to 96″ x 42″ x 30″. Our system is designed to meet the needs of manufacturers requiring reliable corrosion protection, consistent quality, and efficient turnaround.

E-coat can be used as a standalone protective coating or combined with powder coating to provide enhanced durability and long-term outdoor performance.

Freedom Finishing is proud to provide e-coating services to leading manufacturers across a wide range of industries.
